Duncan is arranging a hockey curry night on Wed 30th July at @ 7.30pm at Ferndown Spice for his summer league team to have an end of summer season get together.
We thought it would be cool if the 1st team joined them also ... the more the merrier!

Unfortunately I can't make it as I have a prior social engagement, but if you are able to, then please let Duncan know by email, by the end of the week.

Subject: An evening with Henry Olonga [Info forwarded by Ed Gibbs-venue Poole Grammar School presumably.

Dear All

On 23 Aug 2008 I am holding a charity evening here in the main hall from 7.30pm. My aim is to raise as much money as possible for the local Oncology Unit at both Poole and Dorchester hospital.

The evening will be hosted by Scott Charlton (local comedian) and Dave Lee MBE. There will be a Q & A session with Henry Olonga, international cricketer. Henry, a right arm fast bowler played for Zimbabwe from the age of 18, the youngest player to represent them. He has many fascinating stories to tell. Henry is now an accomplished singer/songwriter and will also share this talent with us on the night.

We shall also be holding a silent auction of some quality items of sporting memorabilia. The cost of the evening will be £15 which will include a Ploughman's supper and dessert, comedy from Dave and Scott and of course Henry Olonga. There will be a subsidised bar.

I can assure you that every penny raised on the evening will go to the Charity as Henry, Dave and Scott are giving their time for nothing.

If you are interested in buying tickets please let me know how many you would like by emailing me on elliottl@poolegrammar.com. Please come along and help me to raise as much money as possible as it is so important and I'm guessing that we've all been touched by cancer at some time in our life.

Hi All

Please find attached information and application form for Wayfarers 100 CLUB.

This has been instigated to raise funds for the Club (outlined in the attached) whilst at the same time providing an opportunity to earn a “tidy return” in the process. The 100 Club is open to family, friends & colleagues etc and I would urge you to support the Club by donating the cost equivalent of a single Lottery Ticket each month to the fund.

Phil Dunham has been responsible for organizing the 100 Club and please contact him on philip_dunham@sky.com /

or Mobile 07748 000809 if you require any additional information.

Many thanks to the people who have contributed thus far.

Best Regards,

Rich.
